arizona state game notes By Dan Murphy and andrew owens Irish Suffer Season-Ending Injuries Starting junior inside linebacker Jarrett Grace and backup senior wide receiver Daniel Smith both suffered serious injuries during Notre Dame's 37‑34 win over Arizona State. Trainers lifted Grace onto a cart in the middle of the second quarter and took him to the Notre Dame locker room for X-rays. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly indicated after the game that Grace will most likely miss the remainder of the 2013 season. Grace remained in the Dallas area overnight for observation after sustaining what Kelly called a fractured leg.
