football recruiting Dame head coach Brian Kelly. This impressive athlete may pledge to the Irish during his official visit. Isaiah McKenzie WR, 5-9, 167, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (American Heritage) Junior Season: Caught 30 passes for 842 yards and scored 15 touchdowns. 247Spor ts Rankings: Three-star recruit, the No. 124 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 129 prospect in Florida. Skinny: McKenzie is about as committed to Notre Dame as you can be without actually making a public pledge. The electric Sunshine State athlete wanted to commit to Notre Dame twice in the past, but he held off to get some academic issues cleared up. With things looking good on that front, McKenzie should have the green light to pledge to the Fighting Irish at some point during his official visit to South Bend. Quenton Nelson OT, 6-5, 295, Red Bank, N.J. (Red Bank Catholic) Sophomore Season: Had 93 pancakes at left tackle. 247Spor ts Rankings: Four-star recruit, the No. 74 player in the country, the No. 6 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 2 prospect in New Jersey. Skinny: Nelson committed to Notre Dame May 1. While he's done some flirting with other schools, such as Ohio State and Penn State, the Army All-American said that he's firmly committed to the Fighting Irish and he will enroll in South Bend during the summer of 2014. Michiah Quick WR, 6-0, 170, Fresno, Calif. (Central East) Junior Season: Made 49 catches for 699 yards and eight touchdowns. 247Spor ts Rankings: Four-star recruit, the No. 85 prospect nationally, the No. 8 athlete in the country and the No. 8 player in California. Skinny: There are few players who could contribute immediately on offense and defense as a freshman at the Division I level, and Quick is one of those prospects. He is explosive with the ball in his hands on offense, and he's a lock-down cornerback in the secondary. Notre Dame's stiffest competition comes from Oklahoma and USC, but its chances to land the superb athlete are good. Bo Scarbrough RB, 6-2, 225, Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy) Junior Season: Carried the ball 211 times for 1,495 yards and scored 18 touchdowns. 247Spor ts Rankings: Four-star recruit, the No. 52 player in the country, the No. 6 athlete nationally and the No. 3 prospect in Florida.
