AT A GLANCE
GOOD NEWS Early in
the week, Purdue
head coach Darrell
Hazell said he didn't
think PSU's rushing
attack was as good as
Wisconsin's or
Iowa's. We think Bill
O'Brien took offense.
His team responded
with a 289-yard outburst on the ground.
BAD NEWS Purdue had
only scored 21 points
in the four games
leading up to Saturday's visit to PSU.

THE TAKEAWAY Against
the worst team in the
Big Ten, this was a
win Penn State had
to have. The Lions
were in control from

but their performance
wasn't without its
miscues.
