THE GAME AT A GLANCE GOOD NEWS Early in the week, Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell said he didn't think PSU's rushing attack was as good as Wisconsin's or Iowa's. We think Bill O'Brien took offense. His team responded with a 289-yard outburst on the ground. BAD NEWS Purdue had only scored 21 points in the four games leading up to Saturday's visit to PSU. It was their highest rushing total of the season, and it lifted them to 6-4 and 3-3 in the Big Ten. THE TAKEAWAY Against the worst team in the Big Ten, this was a win Penn State had to have. The Lions were in control from the opening kickoff, but their performance wasn't without its miscues.
