football recruiting ROUNDUP Recruiting Notes • South Jordan (Utah) Bingham tight end Dalton Schultz has scheduled his Notre Dame official visit. The 6-5, 215-pound prospect, along with his mother, will be in South Bend Dec. 6-7. Stanford looks to be the favorite to land the four-star recruit, but the Fighting Irish could make a major move with a solid visit. 247Sports ranks Schultz as the No. 99 overall recruit, the No. 1 tight end in the nation and the No. 2 prospect in Utah in the 2014 class. • Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep cornerback John Reid picked up an offer from Notre Dame Nov. 22. The 5-10, 180-pound prospect is one of the nation's most coveted defensive backs in the class of 2015. Along with the Irish, the four-star recruit holds offers from Miami, Michigan, Penn State and West Virginia, South Jordan (Utah) Bingham standout Dalton Schultz, the nation's No. 1 tight end and No. among others. The 6-0, 175-pound recruit has expressed early interest in the Irish, and Notre Dame running backs coach Tony Alford has reciprocated it. The four-star prospect holds offers from Clemson, Florida State, South Florida and West Virginia, among others, but an offer from the Fighting Irish would be big for the Florida native.
