For years, Tuitt's mother, Tamara Tuitt-Bartlett, has emphasized the importance of education and of leaving Notre Dame with a diploma. "A degree now goes more than cluding Nix, to return for one final season, but she said she has not put much thought into that moment. "We're not there yet, so I haven't given it any thought yet," she said. "[Stephon makes me] extremely proud. That's my first-born, first one to go through college and I'm experiencing everything for the first time with him. "I went to college, but he's the firstborn, first one in college, setting an example for his little brothers. I'm extremely proud." ✦
