Head coach Kyle Flood, who has a two-year record of 15-10, led Rutgers to a share of the Big East championship and was named the league's Coach of the Year in his debut season a year ago.

They gave up the fourth-most amount
of passing yards per game this year, so
when they went through that slide in
November, it was all of that.
"They really struggle against teams
that run spread offenses with three
or four guys out wide. They had the
outside linebackers doing a lot of coverage, and that would hurt them. …
Through all of November, it snow-
balled downhill, and that ultimately
cost the defensive coordinator his
job. The stats against them have been
gaudy, and that's the reason for the
struggles defensively."
