The Irish will be without offensive coordinator
Chuck Martin, but Mike Denbrock should fill in nicely
in the interim. He knows the offense, and head
coach Brian Kelly said the wide receivers coach might
end up calling the offensive plays.
Advantage: Notre Dame
Intangibles
For Kelly, the main challenge will be motivating
the team to play a mediocre Scarlet Knights squad.
If Notre Dame approaches the game the right way
mentally, it should not have an issue winning the
Pinstripe Bowl to finish 9-4.
Rutgers has made it clear that this is the most important bowl game in school history. It just might be
the opposite for the Irish, so the mindset could go a
long way in deciding the outcome.
