Penn State's first spring practice under
James Franklin kicks off March 17 and
will culminate April 12 with the annual
Blue-White Game. But before that, the
Nittany Lions must finish their winter
workouts.
Those workouts are well under way
under the tutelage of Dwight Galt, who
has taken over Penn State's strength and
conditioning program a@er the departure
of Craig Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald followed
Bill O'Brien to the Houston Texans.
Expect fewer photo ops, but no less in-
tensity now that Galt is in charge.
Galt, by his own admission, doesn't
have Fitzgerald's theatrical flair. Come
November, you won't see him ripping off
his T-shirt off during pregame warm-
ups in hope of inspiring the team. "We
used to do the T-shirt thing at Maryland
no matter how cold it got," said Galt, who
