BASEBALL 1. Junior outfielder Jackson Glines: A first-year Wolverine after spending two seasons at Fresno City College where he earned Central Valley Conference MVP honors in 2013, Glines has been an immediate boost to Michigan's of- fense. As of March 16, Glines led the team with a .355 batting average, and had notched 13 runs scored and 14 RBI. He had started each of U-M's first 21 games, posting a fielding percentage of .980 percent. 2. Freshman pitcher Mac Lozer: The Wolverines have a lot of depth in the bull- pen, but the right-handed rookie has made an impact, and the Michigan coaches are excited about his potential. Lozer was a Rawlings Central Region honorable mention selection as a senior at North Central High School in Indianapolis. Lozer had appeared in seven games as of March 16, allowing two hits and two earned runs in six innings. 3. Junior utility Kyle Jusick: Jusick has done a little bit of everything for the Wolverines this season. He has played at first base, played in the outfield and, although he hasn't been called upon to do it yet this year, is a left-handed pitcher if he is needed on the mound. After batting .260 last year, Jusick started each of the first 21 games and was hitting .299 — the third-best mark on the team — with six runs scored and nine RBI. — Andy Reid Junior outfielder Jackson Glines led the Wolverines in hitting through 21 games, posting a .355 batting average with 13 runs scored and 14 RBI.
