MICHIGAN FOOTBALL Senior defensive end Frank Clark has started 17 games and appeared in 36 contests in his first three years for the Wolverines. He has racked up 77 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and an intercep- tion. Nickname: "Nitty." Favorite Place To Eat In Ann Arbor: "Chipotle. I get a burrito bowl, with half steak and half chicken, extra sour cream and extra cheese with medium sauce." Best Meal He Can Cook By Himself: "My roommate, [senior defensive back] Ray Taylor, and I make some pretty good fried chicken." Favorite Class He Has Taken At U-M: "Education 360. With that class, you go to certain schools, Scarlett Middle School in particular, and you have a child that you mentor. You show them the ways and what they have to do to get to where we are now, college. There is no football involved. It's about giving back and showing the kids the way on the education track. "It's really cool when you have a kid that looks up to you for football reasons, but they don't really think about the education side of you. It gives you a chance to show them the ropes, and they look up to you for another reason, now." ing Jake Ryan's ability to return six months after his ACL injury as the new standard. While recovery can take 6-9 months from an ACL tear and surgery, Butt might be on the quicker side also. "I haven't really sat down and talked to the doctors, because he just had the surgery done," Hoke said. "He will work hard, just like Jake Ryan did. I would think, to really have him back where you wanted, it would probably be game three or four. We will just have to see, because everyone heals differently." R yan returned to game ac tion against Penn State Oct. 12, 2013, exactly 206 days after Michigan an- nounced his ACL injury, missing a little more than six months. If Butt completed his rehabilitation in the same time frame from the Feb. 13 an- nouncement, he would be scheduled to return for U-M's Sept. 13 week- three game against Miami (Ohio). Barring any setbacks, he should have a good shot of returning no later than October. SPRING GAME U-M's annual Spring Game will be played at Michigan Stadium on Sat- urday, April 5, with the time still to be determined. Student-Athlete Of The Month Senior Defensive End Frank Clark
