iel for his leadership. He said he con-
siders McDaniel to be Notre Dame's
best "overall" running back over
sophomores Tarean Folston and Greg
Bryant.
"Cam is the best if you were to
grade out our running backs in ev-
ery facet: blocking, catching, assign-
ments, running the football with pa-
tience," Kelly said. "Now, is he going
to break out and get the oohs and the
ahhs from the crowd and go 80 yards?
Probably not. We've got some guys
like a Greg Bryant can do that, and
Folston is a really smooth operator
and very productive, but Cam is so
efficient in everything that he does for
us. He's invaluable from that perspec-
tive."
Kelly expressed optimism that Notre
