"It was pretty tough with how rigorous UVa is as a whole," fourth-year basketball star Malcolm Brogdon said. "They're not a school that allows their student- athletes to slack in any way. "The younger you are, the more the office works with you. The more time you spend at UVa and grow as a student, you understand the demands and already have the classes you need to take planned out." Brian, the reigning National Player of the Year for her sport, now works with the office to help her balance her school work with the demands of playing on the United States National Team, which requires a lot of time on the road. "Traveling for soccer presents challenges, but I have Women's soccer standout Morgan Brian says UVa's Academic Affairs Office has played a vital role in helping her succeed in the class- room while balancing her very busy schedule.
