T H E M O N T H I N . . . One of the pressing questions heading into the season was if Penn State would be able to find a viable replacement for Allen Robinson? Hamilton looks like he could be the guy. SEAN MERRIMAN BIGTENNETWORK.COM The question for [Christian Hackenberg] is: Can he stay healthy behind an offensive line that protected him actually rather admirably but could get no push at all run blocking? Without some semblance of balance in PSU's offense, defenses will begin scheming to attack him. Then, Hackenberg will deserve not a new NCAA stipend but hazardous-duty pay. DAVID JONES PENNLIVE.COM "Penn State is a fantastic place. It's a great education, great football program and a lot of good people have done a lot of great things over there over the last couple of years to make sure that they've learned from the past mistakes. ... Mostly I feel happy for the players and the coaching staff that's there now." BILL O'BRIEN "That was a big hit [vs. UCF], but I'm 270 pounds for a reason. I can take those kind of hits." JESSE JAMES "I thought it was an unfortunate situation on a lot of fronts, most unfortunate for the players on the [Penn State] football team. It really was an unbelievable chal- lenge for Bill O'Brien and his staff to walk into a situation where the sanctions that got passed not only restricted them from playing in bowls, but also it was open season. People were trying to recruit guys on their roster." KIRK FERENTZ Proud day for Penn State Football. All I can say is… Its about time. #WeAreBack MICHAEL MAUTI @Michael_Mauti Big day for the blue & white! Congrats to the guys who stuck it out. Well deserved. Thanks to all who had our backs! [Shout out] to the boys of 2012 MICHAEL ZORDICH @MichaelZordich Finally a correction. NCAA was wrong about the Penn State football culture and had no business handing down sanctions. Was not their case. TODD BLACKLEDGE @Todd_Blackledge Penn State is public enemy #1 right now in New Jersey. Proud of the team win and leaving my home state with a win. ANGELO MANGIRO @angelomangiro66 T W E E T S O P I N I O N S Q U O T E S FOOTBALL Nearly 30 former PSU players on NFL rosters Penn State is once again well-repre- sented in the National Football League in 2014.
