Notre Dame alumni in the New York City metropolitan area, which was noted by the
university on the football team's trip to play Syracuse in East Rutherford, N.J. It marked
the 43rd time the Fighting Irish have played in the New York City area, with 26 of them in Yankee Stadium
(two since 2010 in the newer version). Notre Dame is scheduled to return to the New York City area on
Oct. 1, 2016, at MetLife Stadium again versus Syracuse.
