Beaver Stadium is going to be rocking on Sat- urday night. It always is when Ohio State comes to town. But if the Nittany Lions are hoping that the raucous White Out atmosphere will rattle quarterback J.T. Bar- rett into making the kind of freshman mistakes that could turn an apparent mismatch into a competitive game – and they most certainly are – then this might just be a disappointing evening for the home team. Because Barrett is looking more unflappable with each passing week, and aCer watching Braxton Miller's replacement lead the Buckeyes to 50 or more points in each of their past four games, coach Urban Meyer sounds confident that he and his teammates won't lose their composure even if the needle snaps clean off of the decibel meter. Meyer said Monday he was "more comfort- able now than several weeks ago" that the P R E G A M E   R E P O R T O H I O   S T A T E   @   P E N N   S T A T E 8 P . M . MOST  REcENT  MEETING Penn State suffered its worst loss in more than a century, falling to the fourth-ranked Buckeyes, 63-14, on Oct. 26, 2013, in Columbus. Allen Robinson had 12 catches for 173 yards, but it wasn't nearly enough for the Lions to overcome Braxton Miller's three touchdown passes. GOOD NEWS With victories in its next two games, Ohio State would tie the record for most consecutive Big Ten regular-season wins. The Buckeyes have won their past 18 regular-season conference games. The current record of 20 was set by OSU from 2005-07. BAD NEWS The Buckeyes haven't really been road tested yet, but that's about to change. Three of their next four games are set to take place on the road, with visits to Penn State, Michigan State (Nov. 8) and Minnesota (Nov. 15) looming. DID  YOU  KNOW? Although the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes have frequently crossed their states' shared border over the years to recruit players, Penn State has only two Ohioans on its current roster (OT Chance Sorrell and WR Luke Vadas), while Ohio State has only two Pennsylvani- ans (DE Noah Spence and Saf. Malik Hooker). O c T O B E R 2 2 , 2 0 1 4 B L U E W H I T E O N L I N E . c O M 1 WHITE  NOISE  Meyer guides the Buckeyes dur- ing their visit to PSU in 2012.
