Penn State is expected to host the largest recruiting contingent of the season for its game Saturday vs. Ohio State. One prospect who is scheduled to be in attendance is an offensive lineman from Florida who has re- ceived more than 50 scholarship offers. Parker Boudreaux is a Class of 2016 prospect from Orlando's Bishop Moore who is ranked as a three-star offensive tackle by Rivals.com. Boudreaux will play a game Friday night vs. rival Lake Highland Prep, then he'll catch an early-morning flight to Pennsylvania. "I'm waking up at about 5:30 and getting on a plane," Boudreaux said. "It's probably a two-hour flight, so I'll probably get [in Harrisburg] around 8, and I think we're going straight to Penn State and then vis- iting the campus." Boudreaux said offensive line coach Herb Hand will be giving him and his family a tour of University Park before the game. "Coach Hand is going to show us around himself [so we can] see all the facilities and campus and everything like that," he said. "So that should be really fun." Although he's only a junior, Boudreaux has already taken about a dozen recruiting visits. His most recent visits were to Clemson and Georgia Southern in late September. So he knows what to look for when checking out potential universities. In addition to a strong game-day environ- ment, Boudreaux said he'll be paying at- tention to "the comfort and the family at- mosphere of a program." He's already begun to sense a family feel among the Penn State coaching staff. "I contact Coach [Terry] Smith, Coach Hand, Coach [James] Franklin; I talk to them probably about twice a week," Boudreaux said. "They're just really great people, great guys and great coaches. I'm just looking forward to getting up there and seeing what that great atmosphere is like." Boudreaux recently picked up his 51st scholarship offer when South Carolina ex- tended one a week ago. PSU offered in April and it was one of his first from a power-five conference. That continues to stand out to Boudreaux. "It was a really, really big offer," he said. "Coach Hand got a chance to run into me and see me [during the spring eval- uation period]. He wanted my film and told my coach that he loved me. He then made Coach Franklin watch my video, and they said they had no choice but to offer me." Boudreaux will stay at Penn State until Sunday before traveling home to Orlando. The only other recruiting visit he has planned is to Miami for its game against Florida State on Nov. 15. Boudreaux has no timetable for a deci- sion but said he'll begin to sort through his growing list of scholarship offers once his junior season is completed.
