"The opportunity is there, and we're not out of it.
But we have to win. We've got to win a lot of these
matches here at the end. … So we think there's a shot
for us to make a pretty big move here in these next
11 matches. It's all out there for the kids. If we run
here a little bit, we're going to be a borderline NCAA
team. The kids understand, hey, we put ourselves in a
hole. There's a way to dig yourselves out of the hole
right now."

trying to lead the Cavs to their first NCAA appear‑
ance since 1999 (the Wahoos got off to their best start
since 2003 at 6‑0, and stood 15‑9 overall and 8‑3 in
the ACC as of Nov. 2)
"I've known some of the guys on our team since I was little,
but I've bonded with everybody here, not just the Bayside
guys or just the 757 guys. We want to make a change here
and prove that Virginia can play football. It would mean a lot
to all of us. Those 1989 guys were the top dogs. We want to do
that all over again."
