each other is in a game, that's tough," Boyle said. "It's language, it's muscle memory, its so many finite pieces that go into making practices what your games look like, and we weren't able to simulate that consistently last year." With four rookies com- ing into the program this season, the ability to build that communication and on-court rapport will be critical. Guards Aliyah Huland El and Mikayla Venson and forward Lauren Moses are all expected to contribute immediately. "Lauren, Mikayla and El were recruited to come in and play major minutes for us, and I think they can," Boyle said. Venson and Moses seem especially primed for po- tential starting roles. A five-star prospect and the highest-rated recruit among the three, Venson was ranked 16th overall by Full Court with espnW HoopGurlz listing her as its No. 7 guard. Randolph called Venson a "guard that like to bother the ball, she likes to get up and pressure and be that scrappy defender." Moses, a 6-1 forward from Mount Holly, N.J., was ranked by Prospect Nation as the No. 75 over- all recruit and the No. 20 forward. Boyle is impressed with the two-time all-state selection and has liked what she has seen of her physical play in the post. "Strength and size, mobility down low," Boyle said of Moses. "She can operate out of that high post. She loves playing with her back to the basket, she's aggressive with good footwork and she can score for us down low." "They have embraced what the coaches have thrown at them and they know what the coaches want and they've accepted the challenges," Imovbioh said of the rookies. "I think they're all going to contrib- ute a lot to the team." Moses should be a good complement to Imovbioh in the paint and will hope- fully help keep the fourth- year forward out of foul trouble. "Sarah did a great job for us on the rebounds last year and she's worked on her game offensively, add- ing a 15-foot mid-range, pull-up game," Randolph said. Imovbioh, who averaged 12.4 points and 8.4 re- bounds per game last year, noted that keeping herself in the game and becoming a more difficult offensive player to defend were her focus in the offseason.
