64 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING the players and the coaches, just view the atmosphere again," Hughes said. "They showed me a great time, it was just a lot of fun." Hughes is expected to graduate early and enroll for the spring semester at the school of his choice, so a decision is likely during the month of December. RUNNING BACK BRYCE LOVE Wake Forest (N.C.) High Love, like Hines, is a speedster and was one of the top sprinters in the country before deciding to fo‑ cus on football. The 5‑9, 175‑pounder has rushed 178 times for 2,118 yards and 32 touch‑ downs entering Wake Fo r e s t 's 4 ‑ A A s t a t e playoffs finals show‑ down with Charlotte's Mallard Creek High. Love had also caught 10 passes for 253 yards and four scores while helping the Cougars to a 15‑0 mark. Rivals.com rates Love as a four‑star recruit, the No. 6 all‑purpose back na‑ tionally and the No. 113 player in the country regardless of position. He will be re‑ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the state when they are reorganized. Love has taken an official visit to Vir‑ ginia Tech (Sept. 19), and the Hokies along with offers from Stanford, Tennes‑ see, NC State and East Carolina are be‑ lieved to be at the top of his list. Love's older brother Chris is a redshirt freshman receiver at ECU. OFFENSIVE TACKLE AARON WILTZ Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic Wiltz has flown under the radar, but is beginning to receive major college at‑ tention despite verbally committing to Central Florida in Sep‑ tember. NC State has of‑ fered him a scholarship, and Arkansas and Mis‑ sissippi State have been picking up their interest. Previously, Wiltz had collected offers from Cincinnati, Houston, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana‑Monroe, South Alabama and Southern Miss, among oth‑ ers. The 6‑5, 275‑pounder took an official visit to NCSU the weekend of Dec. 6 and is being recruited by offensive line coach Mike Uremovich. Wiltz also wrestles in high school. ■ For regular reports on NC State football recruit- ing plus videos of Wolfpack commitments and targets visit TheWolfpacker.com.
