THE BIG PICTURE
CROSSROADS CONSTRUCTION
On Nov. 23, the day after the Fighting Irish suffered a 31-28 loss to Lou-
isville, the university began construction outside Notre Dame Stadium as
part of the Campus Crossroads project. The project, which will add 750,000
square feet of academic space with the purpose of integrating academics and
athletics, is the largest building project in university history. Estimated at a
total cost of $400 million, the construction will last approximately 33 months.
