FOOTBALL RECRUITING recruitment said, "It will be a shock if he doesn't end up at Notre Dame. He's al- ready told a few of the commits that he wants to commit to Notre Dame soon." Per 247Sports, Kinnel is the No. 16 safety in the land and the No. 14 recruit in Ohio. Jennings, a 6-2, 205-pound two-way player from Virginia, has been looking forward to his Notre Dame official visit since first picking up an offer from the Irish on Sept. 30. Following his trip to South Bend, Jennings told 247Sports na- tional director of recruiting Steve Wilt- fong that he could see himself at Notre Dame. "The Notre Dame official was a great experience," Jennings said. "I got to meet a lot of cool people and even ab- sorb some information. I just like the feel and concept about football. I got to sit in on defensive meetings, which was pretty cool. "It's a great place, a great atmosphere. In talking to the coaching staff, they told me where I would fit in, and we'll go from there." Jennings is expected to visit Virginia and West Virginia toward the end of January. Ideally, Notre Dame would like to have its 2015 class wrapped up by that point. However, if there is a spot avail- able for Jennings closer to National Sign- ing Day, the Irish will be tough to beat. Although he is being recruited by Notre Dame to play safety, Jennings is listed as the No. 121 wide receiver in the country and the No. 36 prospect in Virginia by 247Sports. ✦ U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL Jan. 3, 1 p.m., NBC, San Antonio • Josh Barajas, Merrillville (Ind.)
