"I'm recognized as the most improved this past
spring and as outstanding in the weight room. As
a team captain, I have to be those things every sin-
gle day, on and off the field. Everywhere. That's
who I am. That's the name I made for myself.
Now it's time to continue that."
In just about every success story, there's a mo-
ment where the challenges start to weigh heavily,
and that was certainly the case for Croce. He ad-
mits there were times he sat up at night wondering
how he fit into the team's plans or if he'd ever find
the success he was hoping to experience. He was
also very rational about what he had to do.
"A lot of things played into it, but the founda-
