IN THEORY
In most organizations I'm familiar
with, I'm amused by how subordi-
nates take on the manner and vocabu-
lary of their superiors, consciously or
subconsciously.
Reading the quotes from Notre
Dame's assistant coaches in the pre-
season edition of Blue & Gold Illus-
trated, I realized that they've become
their head coach, like something out
of Body Snatchers or the Borg Hive,
and the players are being assimilated
as well.
The head coach practices what I call
"Theoretical Football," and the entire
organization has been subsumed by
this mindset. Every player and ev-
