The analysts agree, and that's why Kmet — who put on a show at the Irish Invasion alongside Wright — became such a priority for the staff. Following his performance at the invite-only camp, Notre Dame offered him a scholarship June 19. He returned to campus for visits July 30 and Sept. 5, and after a quick trip to Ohio State Sept. 26 he was ready to make the call and commit to the Irish. "It was thrilling," Kmet told Rivals Midwest recruiting analyst Josh Helmholdt. "I was really excited, and it's nice to know that it's all just over. It's a relief, and I'm happy where I'm at.
