the Irish Invasion, believes that the 6-4,
220-pound junior can work well with
Wright, who is viewed as more of a
traditional tight end that can block and
catch the ball.

"Kmet is more of a pass catcher at
this point, and his game resembles
that of current Notre Dame freshman
Nic Weishar," Driskell said. "His abil-
ity to play out wide and in the slot
would allow him to serve a strong
complementary role to Wright."
Rivals ranks Kmet as the No. 5
prospect in Illinois and the No. 10
tight end in the country in the class
of 2017. His pledge — combined
with the one from Wright, who is
ranked as the No. 1 tight end in the
country — should give the Irish a
dynamic duo at the position in years
