UNDER THE DOME ✦ GIMME FIVE Ever so quietly, Brian Kelly be- came the sixth Notre Dame foot- ball coach, among the 15 hired full time since 1913, to join the 50-win club with the Fighting Irish. The 41-24 victory versus Navy Oct. 10 raised his career record at Notre Dame to 50-21 for a .704 winning percentage. Sometime in November, unless the team falls into a huge slump like last year, he should pass Dan Devine's 53 wins in his six seasons from 1975-80 for fifth-most on the Irish all-time coaching chart. Moving higher beyond that will require several more years with Frank Leahy's 87 victories next on the list. However, the current top five each either won a national title or finished unbeaten in their third season — while Kelly came close with a 12-0 regular season and No. 1 finish before losing 42-14 to Alabama in the 2013 BCS National Championship Game. Here are the top five in wins at Notre Dame: Coach (Years) Wins (Pct.) 1. Knute Rockne (1918-30) 105-12-5 (.881) 2. Lou Holtz (1986-96) 100-30-2 (.765) 3. Ara Parseghian (1964-74) 95-17-4 (.836) 4. Frank Leahy (1941-43, 46-53) 87-11-9 (.855) 5. Dan Devine (1975-80) 53-16-1 (.764) SNAP COUNT TOTALS VS.
