4 Consensus All-Americans who played in the 2016 BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl — the most featured in any bowl game this sea- son. The consensus unit is selected by the NCAA and was based on the picks made by the American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, Sport- ing News and Walter Camp Football Foundation. Notre Dame was represented by junior linebacker Jaylon Smith (the Butkus Award recipient as the nation's top linebacker) and offensive tackle Ron- nie Stanley. Ohio State featured defensive lineman Joey Bosa and offensive tackle Taylor Decker, who originally committed verbally to the Fighting Irish before switching. 5 Players in Notre Dame history to return both a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown, with freshman wide receiver CJ Sanders joining that exclusive company this season. The others were three- time Academic All-American and first-round pick Joe Heap (1952); 1990 Heisman Trophy runner-up Raghib "Rocket" Ismail (1989); cornerback Allen Rossum (1996), the lone player in NFL history who had a kickoff return for a touchdown with five different franchises; and cornerback Vontez Duff (2002). 10 Or more games won by five of Notre Dame opponents in 2015 during the regular season, including Fiesta Bowl foe Ohio State, which entered the contest 11-1. The others were Clemson (12-0), Stanford (11-2), Navy (10-2) and Temple (10-2). No other team this season played more teams that finished the regular season with a minimum of 10 wins. 13 Current NFL stadiums to play host to Notre Dame after the Fighting Irish faced off against Ohio State at University of Phoenix Stadium Jan. 1 in the Fiesta Bowl at Glendale, Ariz. It be- came the 14th stadium overall that has hosted both a Super Bowl and a Notre Dame football game. 127 Million dollars —the value of the Notre Dame football program, according to Forbes' annual report in Decem- ber 2015. That was No. 2 nationally only to Texas' $152 million. The Longhorns topped the list of college football's biggest cash cows for the seventh straight year. Rounding out universities that had at least $100 million in value were Tennessee ($121 million), LSU ($111 million), Michigan ($105 million), Georgia ($102 mil- lion) and Ohio State ($100 million). The survey measures teams' value to their universities, athletic departments, conferences and local economies. Revenue and expense data comes from annual financial reports made to the Department of Education; value to the local economy is gauged by economic impact studies.
