Four years ago when All-America
recruit Jarron Jones was enrolling at
Notre Dame, there was debate about
whether he would be a better fit with
his range at offensive tackle or along
the defensive line.
After a redshirt year as a freshman,
Jones will enter his fifth season with
the Fighting Irish as a bona fide NFL
prospect in the defensive interior. At
the same time, his younger brother
Jamir will face a different debate about
his future: outside linebacker or defen-
sive end?
"The coaches told me that I will prob-
ably start out at Sam [strongside line-
backer], but said they can't quite project
my future yet because I'm still a young
kid who is growing and could maybe
develop into an end," the younger Jones
said. "I've put on about 10 pounds since
basketball season and am around 230

As a senior, Jones compiled 98 tackles, 6.5 sacks and an interception on defense, while also hauling in 43
receptions for 822 yards and nine touchdowns on offense.
