ND SPORTS HOCKEY (19-11-7, 15-5-2 HOCKEY EAST) Notre Dame lost 3‑1 and 6‑4 to Northeastern in the Hockey East quarterfinals March 11‑12, then fell 3‑2 in overtime to Michigan March 25 in the NCAA Tournament to end its season. Sophomores Anders Bjork and Jordan Gross were both named second‑team All‑Hockey East. ROWING The No. 18 Irish competed in the Lake Natoma Invitational April 16‑17 against a field that included No. 12 Wisconsin, No. 15 Gonzaga and No. 16 Iowa. The first varsity four finished fourth with a 7:31.25, while the first varsity eight placed third with a 6:22.88. Notre Dame will compete in the ACC Championships May 13‑14 at Clemson, S.C. SOFTBALL (32-6, 9-3 ACC) The 19th‑ranked Irish swept three games from Virginia Tech April 16‑17 to build their winning streak to seven. They stood in third place in the ACC, behind only Florida State and Louisville. Notre Dame has league series remaining at North Carolina April 24‑25, versus Louisville April 30‑May 1 and against North Carolina State May 7‑8. The ACC Championship will take place May 12‑14 at Raleigh, N.C. SWIMMING & DIVING Notre Dame traveled to the NCAA Championships March 17‑19, highlighted by the men's 400 free‑ style relay finishing in 20th place with a time of 2:53.72. On the women's side, senior diver Emma Gaboury finished 29th in the three‑meter (290.70 points). MEN'S TENNIS (14-12, 6-6 ACC) The No. 43 Irish finished their regular season with a 6‑1 win over North Carolina State April 17, mark‑ ing a stretch of four straight wins — which included a 5‑2 triumph over then‑No. 1 North Carolina at home April 8 on Senior Day. Notre Dame was slated to participate in the ACC Championship April 21‑24 in Cary, N.C. WOMEN'S TENNIS (12-12, 5-9 ACC) No. 51 Notre Dame defeated Norfolk State 7‑0 April 17 to close out its regular season. The No. 11‑seeded Irish were scheduled to take part in the ACC Championship April 20 24 in Cary, N.C. TRACK & FIELD The women's team placed fifth at the NCAA Indoor Championships March 11‑12 in Boston, highlighted by senior Molly Seidel's national titles in the 3,000 meters (8:57.86) and 5,000 meters (15:15.21). The men's team was represented by junior pole vaulter Nate Richartz, whose 5.35‑meter effort earned him an eighth‑place finish. Both men's and women's squads continued into outdoor season, participating in a handful of events leading up to the ACC Outdoor Championships May 13‑15 in Tallahassee, Fla. — Jordan Wells
