Getting To Know … JUNIOR CORNERBACK NICK WATKINS ✦ GIMME FIVE While much of the postseason attention on Notre Dame men's basketball has centered on junior point guard Demetrius Jackson's decision to head to the NBA, overshadowed is the gradu‑ ation of senior forward Zach Auguste. = Auguste became only the third player ever at Notre Dame to grab more than 800 rebounds and shoot at least 56.0 percent from the floor. He joins Adrian Dantley (1973‑76) and LaPhonso Ellis (1988‑92) in that distinct company — with Dantley the sixth player selected in the 1976 NBA Draft and Ellis the fifth in 1992. Auguste's 10.7 rebounds per game this sea‑ son led the Atlantic Coast Conference, which had six teams in the Sweet 16, and ranked 15th nationally. Finally, his 22 double‑doubles in points and re‑ bounds this season is tied for the fifth best total in one year for the Fighting Irish, with the aid of playing 36 games this season. Here are the top five single‑season double‑double totals: Player (Year) Total 1. Luke Harangody (2008‑09) 25 (34 Games) 2. Bob Whitmore (1967‑68) 24 (30 Games) 3t. LaPhonso Ellis (1991‑92) 23 (33 Games) 3t. Collis Jones (1970‑71) 23 (29 Games) 5t. Zach Auguste (2015‑16) 22 (36 Games) 5t. Ryan Humphrey (2001‑02) 22 (31 Games) MOVING?
