He joins Adrian Dantley (1973‑76) and LaPhonso Ellis (1988‑92) in that distinct company — with Dantley the sixth player selected in the 1976 NBA Draft and Ellis the fifth in 1992. Auguste's 10.7 rebounds per game this sea‑ son led the Atlantic Coast Conference, which had six teams in the Sweet 16, and ranked 15th nationally.
