UNDER THE DOME ✦ GIMME FIVE With seven Notre Dame players selected in this year's NFL Draft, highlighted by first-round picks Ronnie Stanley and Will Fuller, the Fighting Irish have had 492 players chosen since the ini- tial draft held in 1936. It now trails USC — which had four players picked this year — by only one for the most among any university. The Trojans also are No. 1 in most first-round selections with 79, but had none this year (al- though wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and cornerback Adoree Jackson are projected for such status in 2017). Ohio State closed the gap there to 76 after having five players chosen in the first round. Notre Dame is third with 66 after Stanley, a left tackle, and Fuller, a wide receiver, joined the club. It was the fourth time in the last five years at least one Fighting Irish player heard his name called in the first round. Here are the top five schools with most draft picks in their history: Rk.
