FOOTBALL RECRUITING that Miami leads, but the Irish have deeps ties to Palm Beach Gardens High and needs in its secondary. It wouldn't be a surprise if he decided to lock up a spot in the class. Another name to keep an eye on is Sarell. The 6-6, 315-pound tackle will be on campus for the first time with his parents. He's one of offensive line coach Harry Hiestand's top targets and a prospect that the staff has pur- sued for a while. The nation's No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 26 overall recruit doesn't do many media interviews, which makes him a bit of a mystery, but he could end the recruiting process at any time. He has also expressed inter- est in Pac-12 schools Stanford, Wash- ington and Oregon, plus Michigan. STILL RSVP'ING While the visitors list was already lined with stars a month before the event, a number of other targets said they are close to finalizing plans to be at the Irish Invasion. The group is led by Virginia Beach (Va.) Cox four-star defensive end Jordan Wil- liams and Covington (Ga.) Newton three-star wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman. The 6-5, 245-pound Williams had a number of Irish coaches at his school in early May to watch him work out and he lists Notre Dame on his short list of favorites with Tennes- see, Virginia Tech, USC, Penn State and Wake Forest. The Irish think the nation's No. 10-ranked strongside defensive end could potentially slide inside and line up as a tackle. Holloman, who was at one time committed to Michigan, is Rivals' No. 94 wide receiver in the country. The 6-4, 190-pounder projects as a rangy target in Notre Dame's offense. He lists the in-state Georgia Bulldogs as his leader, although the Irish have already made a strong impression on his parents. ✦ Covington (Ga.)
