EVENT RECAPS SPRING SOCIALS TOUR The 2016 Spring Socials Tour featured 16 stops across various cities within Virginia and donor districts along the East Coast. Featured speakers on this year's tour included head men's basketball coach Tony Bennett and new head football coach Bronco Men- denhall, along with Olympic sport head coaches, assistant coaches and student-athletes. Over 2,300 donors, fans and alumni attended these events, which were held in venues from country clubs to hotels and donors' homes. A special thank you to the donors who hosted sev- eral of our events: • Charlotte: Anne Carter and Dean Smith & Ann and Wellford Tabor • Southwest Virginia/East Tennessee: Marcia and Marvin Gilliam • Fredericksburg: Tricia and Charles Mc- Daniel • Mid-Shenandoah: Janet and Gray Ferguson • North Shenandoah: Gayle and John Good- loe Highlights from the tour included a celebration of the successful 2015-16 men's bas- ketball season that featured a run into the Elite Eight, insight into the new era of Virginia football and reflections on the accomplishments of the many successful Olympic sport programs at the University of Virginia. Thank you to all the donors, fans and alumni who attended and supported these Socials. The Spring Socials Tour is a wonderful opportunity for the Virginia Athletics Foundation to thank all of its constituents for their continued loyal and generous support.
