First, there was Equanimeous, a former four-star recruit and a sopho- more receiver at Notre Dame. After that, there was Osiris, a four-star re- ceiver who committed to Stanford Aug. 5. Now, there's Amon-Ra, a four-star receiver from the class at 2018 at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif. It's a unique situation to have three siblings be high-profile recruits, but it didn't come as a shock to the St. Brown family. "We've all been working really, re- ally hard," Amon-Ra said. "For this to happen, it's surprising [to others], but it's what we expected because we put in work. I tell you, we work really hard." With Equanimeous at Notre Dame and Osiris soon to be at Stanford, Amon-Ra said he'd be grateful for the opportunity to play with either of his brothers, but that won't ulti- mately impact his decision. "Both of my brothers would love for me to go to Stanford or Notre Dame, but they understand that I'm going to do what's best for me," he said. "Whether that's going to Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, Alabama or wherever I go, they're still going to support me." According to Amon-Ra, Notre Dame wide receivers coach Mike Den- brock told him that he saw something unique in all three of the brothers. "He said he sees all three of us as three different player," Amon-Ra ex- plained. "Equanimeous is more of the lengthy, go-get-it type player. Osiris, he said, glides when he runs. Me, he said I'm more of a bulldog, more of a go-get-it, rise to the catch. "He can put me anywhere on the field. He talked to me about where he could use me in the offense." As far as his own recruitment goes, St. Brown doesn't have a leader at the moment, but he is high on Notre Dame. "I love Notre Dame," declared St. Brown, who caught 22 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore. I've always liked them since they started recruiting me. Stanford, I like them, too. They're both great schools. "But I love Notre Dame and the way they run their program. Coach [Brian] Kelly is a great guy." — David McKinney Jamire Calvin didn't see this com- ing. The four-star wide receiver from Los Angeles Cathedral hauled in 41 receptions for 684 yards and 12 touchdowns in his junior season, but said he couldn't have predicted all the attention he's been attracting. "Recruiting has been pretty good overall," Calvin said. "I didn't expect to get as many offers as I did. I'm re- ally thankful for that." Calvin was offered by the Irish June 23, and said it was a lifelong goal accomplished. "It means a lot to me," he noted. "That's a school I grew up watching, and it's a really good opportunity academically and on the field. Seeing what they did with the receivers they had, it's a really good opportunity." The offer sent Notre Dame toward the top of his list. "They're high," Calvin said. "I re- ally like Notre Dame a lot." Several things about the Irish are attractive to Calvin. "First, academically, I love how they are," he said. "From a football standpoint, they're a winning pro- gram. They're always one of the top programs in the nation. They put a lot of guys in the NFL. "The great tradition of football that they play is very interesting." Another factor in Calvin's Notre Dame recruitment is his relation- ship with wide receivers coach Mike Denbrock. "I have a strong relationship with Coach Denbrock because I talk to him more," Calvin said. "He's the recruiter for my area and he's the re- ceiver coach. We have a pretty good relationship with just talking and fig- uring things out." Most importantly, though, Calvin said he wants to go to school where he can rely on the coaches. "A school and a football program go kind of hand-in-hand," Calvin said. "I'm looking for a second home where I have a good relationship with the coaches and where I can trust the coaches for the next four to five years of my life. I'm pretty much looking for a second home." He will be announcing his choice during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Jan. 7 in San Antonio. "That's one thing that I've wanted to do since I was a kid growing up watch- ing everybody playing in it," Calvin said.
