PHOTO BY ERIC LUSK quarterback position is a growing process, and though Mike was an upperclassman and was going into his fourth year here at North Carolina State, he still was very inexperienced as far as a player at the col- lege level. The only way that you can move forward is playing." Glennon will have to break in new wide receivers this season with the loss of se- niors T.J. Graham, Jay Smith and Steven Howard, plus tight end George Bryan. The difference this fall is that Glennon is very comfortable with the offense. "He is very confident, very strong in his belief of how well he and his teammates are going to play this year," Bible said. "He has high expectations for himself and his teammates. You just see the way he carries himself and the way that he practices and works out and prepares. He is somebody that has a dream and is ready to chase that dream." He's earned the confidence of his coaches to take on adder responsibilities. "There's no question that he's in position that we think we can ask him to do more, and he's somebody that keeps pushing and wants more," Bible said. "He's very hungry that way. He has a real thirst for knowl- edge, a real thirst for more information, 'How can I get better? How can we get better?' He's hungry that way. "We will stretch him. We're going to stretch him and see how far he can go." Glennon had no idea he was going to have to wait three years before playing at NC State when he originally signed with the Wolfpack, but the journey has worked itself out, benefitting both him and the team. The next quarterback battle at NC State will be next year. Two scholarship quarterbacks will vie for second string behind Glennon.
