ROOM TO RUN
McSorley and Barkley lead an offensive outburst vs. Maryland
Penn State played host to its 96th Homecoming
on Saturday, and for three hours at Beaver Sta-
dium, it sure seemed like old times. The Nittany
Lions ran Maryland ragged, winning 38-14 and
looking not entirely unlike one of those vintage
Penn State teams that so many fans have been
yearning to see again.
Saquon Barkley ran for a career-high 202 yards,
and the Lions gained 372 yards rushing as a team,
turning the tables on a Maryland squad that had
pounded Purdue in much the same manner a week
earlier.
"Our team is in a good place," coach James
Franklin said, as Penn State won for the 37th time
