Dear Cavalier Fans,
We have entered the final two months of our fundraising
year and are thankful for so many generous donors and the
support provided to our student-athletes and coaches. Over
the past few weeks, several of our teams have been in our
office in the evenings making "thank you" calls to hundreds
of donors as part of our student-athlete thank-a-thons.
For some, this is not the most comfortable phone call
to make and for others it comes naturally. I have been im-
pressed with the effort and passion each student-athlete has
shown as they make their calls or write thank you notes. I
have had the benefit of hearing some of these phone conver-
sations. Their words have been filled with genuine gratitude for the opportunities do-
nors have provided them and for the experiences they are having as student-athletes
at the University of Virginia.
