back another 5 yards to the Penn State 49. BEST HITOn a first-and-10 play for the Scarlet Knights late in the first half, Bell unloaded again, this time bringing down Rutgers' tailback Justin Goodwin for a short gain. BEST EFFORT Mark Allen was penal- ized for what happened after the play, but we're not going to hold that against him on this one. Hauling in a short screen pass, Allen started, stopped, then started again as he worked his way 27 yards up the sideline into the end zone to put the Nittany Lions ahead 32- 0 in the fourth quarter. BEST KICK On a tough night in Piscat- away for kicking, Davis was perfect. Most notably, his 34-yarder into the blustery wind in the first quarter – hooking hard along the way through the uprights – was impressive. WORST KICK Rutgers kicker David Bonagura had the wind at his back, but his first opportunity to put the Scarlet Knights on the board early in the game fell short on a 45-yard attempt. BEST DECISIONOn a night when Penn State struggled to really find any type of rhythm or groove, a relatively vanilla offensive game plan opened up the op- portunity for a dominating defensive performance from the Nittany Lions. Holding the Scarlet Knights to fewer than 100 yards, Penn State's defense seemed to be in total control all night. MOST TELLING MOMENTPenn State special teams captain Von Walker crumpled to the turf on a block in the back late in the first half. Many of Walker's upperclassman teammates came to his side to offer a word of en- couragement or pat on the helmet in the wake of his apparent knee injury.
