DON SUNDGREN LONDON PERRANTES Named All-ACC Honorable Mention in 2015-2016 Take It To e Next Level is an initia- tive that encourages current VAF mem- bers to increase their 2017 commitment in support of UVA student-athletes by making a gi in a higher giving level. Giving levels have not increased since 2007, but scholarship costs continue to rise – a total of 68% in the last 10 years. Take It To e Next Level encourages donors to jump to the next giving level when possible. In 2016, 774 donors increased their gi to the next giving level. I GIVE 110% D on Sundgren arrived in Charlottes- ville, Va. in July 2006 and shares, "I became a fan of Virginia Athletics as soon as I learned I would be coming to the University." Impressed by the overall excellence of the athletics program, Sundgren, when asked about his favorite UVA sport, said, "I am a fan of all the sports, but I guess my favorites are football, baseball and basketball in no particular order." Take It To The I Give 110% is an initiative to help VAF meet the rising cost of scholarships. I Give 110% recognizes VAF members whose Annual Fund commitment is at least 10% greater than their previous year's Annual Fund gi. In 2016, 2,787 members participated in I Give 110%. basketball player and long-time devel- opment officer for Virginia Athletics. It wasn't long before Don became a VAF member. Don has participated in the I Give 110% initiative every year since he made his first gi to the VAF. He notes, "I recog- nize that scholarship and program costs continue to increase even outside of ma- jor facility initiatives, so the donor pool needs to continue to increase as well to help maintain the excellence of the pro- gram.
