TRACKING THE PACK NC State has more commitments enter- NCSU CONTINUES TO ADD COMMITMENTS IN FOOTBALL ing the 2012 football season than at the same point in any previous year under head coach Tom O'Brien. The class stands at 16 after the Pack added three more com- mitments, including a pair from Florida, while also losing one pledge since June 26. Florida natives Hassan Childs, a 6-1, 170-pound defensive back from Osceola High in Kissimmee, Fla., and Tylar Rea- gan, a 6-5, 280-pound offensive lineman from Bartram Trail High in Fruit Cove, Fla., both pledged for the Pack. Childs committed June 30 over offers from Central Florida, Indiana and Florida International. Defensive backs coach Mike Reed led his recruitment. "I thought Coach Reed was a great coach and a great person, as well," Childs said. "Every time we talked, it wasn't just about football, it was about personal life, school, what was going on in the commu- nity, what was going on in North Carolina. It was like a bond, we're bonded together." NC State, the first school to offer Childs, could play him at either corner or safety. He plays the former in high school and had around 100 tackles and four interceptions last year, helping Osceola reach the second round of the state playoffs. Childs and Reagan are both rated by Rivals.com as three-star prospects. Reagan is also listed as the No. 24 offensive guard in the country and the No. 94 player in the state of Florida. NCSU recruited him as an offensive tackle. Reagan compiled an offer list that in- cluded Arkansas, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Kentucky, South Florida and Tennessee, among others, but ultimately his final de- liberations came down to NC State and Central Florida. Reagan pulled the trig- ger for the Pack July 25 via a Twitter an- nouncement. Prior to unofficially visiting NC State July 13, Reagan had been an admitted UCF lean. The trip to Raleigh changed everything. "When I got on campus, the second I got on campus the coaches made me feel at home, a part of the team, just a part of the family right away," Reagan recalled. The final decision turned out to be a close call. "It was neck and neck, UCF and NC State the whole time really, and just kind of sitting on it and thinking on it, it felt right with NC State," Reagan said. "That's where I felt God was leading me to. That's what I decided." Reagan was recruited to NC State by running backs/tight ends coach Des 20 ■ THE WOLFPACKER Chris Holmes, a 6-2, 190-pound safety from Chancellor High in Fredericksburg, Va., committed to NC State on July 3.
