■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING was Aug. 19, hosted several visitors, including a few notable juniors who are expected to be among the top recruits in the state of North Carolina's 2014 class: — Athlete Johnathan Lloyd from Graham (N.C.) • NC State's final preseason scrimmage, which The Recruiting Trail Notes From Southern Alamance High was making his second visit to NC State in less than a month. Lloyd had previously visited for the Pack's first preseason practice held July 31. The 5-11, 175-pound Lloyd played as a freshman on varsity, and caught 30 passes for 478 yards and 11 scores while running 55 times for 327 yards and four touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a score. Last fall, Lloyd played some quarterback and completed 78 of 169 passes for 940 yards with five touchdowns, and ran 82 times for 462 yards and five scores. He also caught 17 passes for 253 yards.
