The facility also features all new banners and extensive brick work in the north tunnel, a new Chiarelli Lounge for recruiting and new areas for officials. • A new and much smaller entrance and exit tunnel for the visiting team about 20 yards to the left of Notre Dame's tunnel has been added. Visi- tors can run directly to their sideline. • The flagpole that had been located on the northeast corner of the stadium for the playing of the national anthem will now be on the southeast so it can be on the same side as the video board. The three structures attached on the exterior of the stadium are: • The Duncan Student Center on the west will include a student ball- room, career center and the Smith Center for recreation sports, among many other amenities and activities. • Corbett Family Hall on the east side will house the Anthropology and Psychology departments, and the university's media center (plus the new press box). • O'Neill Hall, the new home for Notre Dame's music programs, will be on the south side of the stadium. The university plans to host con- certs, professional sports teams and other events in the stadium, and the hospitality spaces also will be avail- able for large functions. ✦ The concourse area inside Notre Dame Stadium is now replete with memories from past games and star figures in the stucture's 87-year history.
