Sanders won all seven matches — three singles and four doubles — that she played in during the first month of the fall season. She was ranked as the No. 98 collegiate player in the coun- try to start the year. Her three singles wins all came in straight sets at the adidas Hoosier Classic during the last weekend of the month. Brittney Sanders — Jr., Women's Tennis The 5-8 junior from Ontario, Calif., received last week after netting a pair of goals in a 2-2 tie against Rutgers Oct. 7. She scored twice in a six- minute span during the first half against the Scar- let Knights. The Elgin, Ill., native leads Notre Dame with eight goals and an assist so far this season. She joins Cari Roccaro as the second freshman with a multiple-goal game during Notre Dame's eight-game unbeaten streak heading into the second weekend in October.
