Twenty-eight Penn State alumni were
on the rosters of 19 NFL teams as the
season opened in early September, and
:ve others were on practice squads. The
Nittany Lions are perennially a top-15
program in producing NFL players.
Twenty-:ve of those players were on the
53-man rosters of their respective
teams, while four were on practice
squads. Two of the members of Penn
State's alumni contingent did not play
football at PSU: Chris Hogan (New Eng-
land) was a member of the lacrosse
team, while Ross Travis (Kansas City)
played basketball for the Lions.
