20 THE WOLVERINE NOVEMBER 2017 runs at Indiana and found great suc- cess in the running game. "There were good things with the offensive line, but we're still not humming on all cylinders," Har- baugh said after the win in Bloom- ington. "There's still growth to be had, and we're chasing it … we're really trying to get perfect individu- ally and as a unit. "We haven't done that yet. No team has, but we want higher excel- lence individually and collectively." That includes a left side of senior tackle Mason Cole and sophomore Ben Bredeson that has been solid at times, but not as good as it could be. Wide Receivers: C – This unit clearly misses freshman Tarik Black, who was well on his way to leading the team in receiving with 149 yards in three games before go- ing down with a broken foot against Air Force. Black, who may be able to return to action before the regular season ends, was one of the few receivers who could consistently get separation on his routes. Fellow frosh Donovan Peoples- Jones, however, continues to im- prove. He had seven receptions for 94 yards through six games, and it would have been a lot more had his quarterbacks been able to hit him when he was open. "He'll come on," Harbaugh said. "It's been six games. It's a process there. He's getting open … he's do- ing well blocking." The Wolverines aren't getting enough from their sophomore class, however, and still need a few guys to emerge. Kekoa Crawford has had a hard time getting separation, and Eddie McDoom dropped a key pass against MSU that could have been a game-winner. Tight Ends: B- This unit has shown signs of greatness, especially sophomore Sean McKeon and redshirt sopho- more Zach Gentry. The two were the second- and fourth-leading receiv- ers on the team with 181 and 134 yards, respectively, though both had dropped a few passes through six games. McKeon, too, coughed up a key fumble in the second quarter vs. Michigan State that proved to be a critical play.
