NOVEMBER 2017 THE WOLVERINE 69   FOOTBALL RECRUITING side defensive end and No. 99 overall prospect nationally. Tyler Friday, 6-3, 260, Ramsey, N.J. (Don Bosco Prep) The Wolverines are still in solid shape with the No. 6 strongside de- fensive end and No. 60 overall prospect nationally, but it's really hard to get a bead on what he's thinking. Defensive coordinator Don Brown swung by Don Bosco during the bye week indicating that interest is still very high. Aidan Hutchinson, 6-6, 248, Dearborn, Mich. (Divine Child) He is as solid as any recruit ever as a Michigan legacy. The country's No. 18 strongside defensive end has physically developed very well over the past year or so. He will sign with Michigan in December, but will still enroll in the summer of 2018. Jayson Oweh, 6-5, 240, Blairstown, N.J. (Blair Academy)* Michigan is going to get a shot at him despite offering quite late in the cycle. Chris Partridge has a reputation in New Jersey, and Michigan's past successes in the Garden State with guys like Jabrill Peppers and Rashan Gary will always make them a player for blue chippers from Jersey. He is the No. 9 strongside defensive end and No. 179 prospect overall nationally. Ronnie Perkins, 6-4, 260, St. Louis (Lutheran North) The country's No. 13 strongside defensive end and No. 243 overall prospect is high on the Wolverines and might have them in the upper third of his top 12 along with LSU, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma. He'll be in Ann Arbor for an official visit Dec. 8, and that could be huge when National Signing Day approaches. Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis, 6-6, 320, Charlotte, N.C. (Mallard Creek) Unofficially visited North Carolina State, North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina, and will likely visit Michigan in an official capacity at some point. The No. 16 defensive tackle and No. 223 overall prospect nationally doesn't say much and won't really focus on his recruitment until December. Rick Sandidge, 6-5, 263, Concord, N.C. (Concord) The country's No. 2 defensive tackle and No. 32 overall prospect na- tionally visited Michigan with his family in the spring and loved it. He'll return to Ann Arbor for an official visit for the Ohio State game, and has also checked out South Carolina multiple times along with North Carolina and Virginia Tech. Officials to Penn State, Florida and LSU are also on his docket. Michael Thompson, 6-4, 273, St. Louis (Parkway North) The No. 4 defensive tackle and No. 55 overall prospect nationally has Michigan in his top group along with Alabama, LSU, Missouri and Ohio State. U-M defensive line coach Greg Mattison was in St. Louis during the bye week to check on Perkins and Thompson. Linebacker Cameron McGrone, 6-1, 210, Indianapolis (Lawrence Central) The No. 18 outside linebacker and No. 238 overall prospect nationally was offered in June after visiting and committed to the Wolverines just a few days after spending time in Ann Arbor for the BBQ in late July. He was at Michigan for his official visit for the Michigan State game and enjoyed himself around future teammates. Otis Reese, 6-2, 195, Leesburg, Ga. (Lee County) The nation's No. 6 outside linebacker and No. 116 overall prospect nationally has been committed to Michigan longer than any other commit, but there is a concern that he'll eventually flip to Georgia. He's been to Athens multiple times and many close to the situation think he's destined to be a Dawg. Cornerback Sammy Faustin, 6-2, 170, Naples, Fla. (Naples) The No. 53 cornerback nationally swung by Ann Arbor for the BBQ and committed just a few days later. He received a bye week visit from safe- ties coach Brian Smith and the situation seems to be very solid between both parties. Gemon Green, 6-2, 173, DeSoto, Texas (DeSoto) The No. 36 cornerback nationally was in Ann Arbor for an official visit for the Michigan State game, and while he witnessed a loss he's still as solid as ever. Myles Sims, 6-3, 173, Atlanta (Westlake) At 6-3, Sims has the length that Mike Zordich loves to put on the field. The No. 8 cornerback and No. 68 overall prospect in the class of 2018 will sign with the Wolverines in December. Isaac Taylor-Stuart, 6-2, 177, San Diego (St. Augustine) The five-star player possesses elite speed and that helped him pick up his fifth star during the offseason. The No. 3 cornerback and No. 11 overall player nationally will probably stay in the West, but he's still on Michigan's board. Safety Aashari Crosswell, 6-1, 185, Long Beach, Calif. (Poly) The nation's No. 11 safety and No. 119 overall player named USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington and Michigan as the schools contacting him the most, and said he'd like to visit them all. It seems like he'll stay in the West, but he has consistently mentioned U-M as a school he likes throughout the process. German Green, 6-2, 180, DeSoto, Texas (DeSoto) Like his twin brother Gemon, the three-star is long and athletic. How- ever, he did tear his ACL as a junior, which set him back a bit. He's healthy, back on the field this season and solidly committed to U-M after officially visiting Michigan for the Michigan State game. Julius Irvin, 6-1, 180, Anaheim, Calif. (Servite) The country's No. 26 safety dropped a top five consisting of Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Utah and Washington July 21, and swung by Ann Ar- bor for an official visit for the Michigan State game. He loves Michigan, but the distance may be too much to overcome. Athlete Bryan Addison, 6-5, 175, Gardena, Calif. (Junipero Serra) The No. 3 athlete and No. 59 overall prospect nationally was in Ann Ar- bor for an official visit to the Michigan State game and loved it. The U-M staff has done well with Addison and has a serious chance to land him. Michael Barrett, 6-0, 200, Valdosta, Ga. (Lowndes) The three-star athlete would be a great backfield compliment to al- ready committed Christian Turner, and the Wolverine coaches are trying to convince him of that. He's just the No. 78 player in Georgia, but the staff loves him and sent two coaches to his school during the bye week. Talanoa Hufanga, 6-1, 194, Corvallis, Ore. (Crescent Valley) Has a top 10 of Notre Dame, Utah, Oregon, Alabama, Washington, USC, Michigan, Oregon State, UCLA and Nebraska. The No. 2 athlete and No. 57 overall prospect nationally will be in Ann Arbor for an official visit for Michigan's game against Ohio State and received a visit from Jay Harbaugh during the bye week. Commitments in bold italics * Received a Michigan offer between Sept. 12 and Oct. 16 Master List Notes Committed To Michigan: QB Kevin Doyle. Decommitted From Michigan: None. Added To The List: WR Dillon Spalding, TE Tommy Tremble and DE Jayson Oweh. Removed From The List: OG James Ohonba (committed to Michigan State), DT Tommy Togiai (doesn't seem to be a part of Michigan's picture), CB D'Shawn Jamison (committed to Texas) and ATH James Graham (doesn't seem to be a part of Michigan's picture).
