The Brookfield, Wis., native and former high school All-American is tied for third on the team this year with four goals. He is the only freshman to score for the Irish so far this year. Patrick Hodan — Fr., Men's Soccer Hodan won the Big East's Rookie of the Week Award Irish junior on the Big East's honor roll Oct. 16. Shipp's performance in the 6-1 win was the first three-goal outing for a Notre Dame player since Bright Dike in 2009. He now has five goals on the season, which matches his output from the 2011 campaign. He was a Big East Academic All-Star last season and won the team's Rockne Student Athlete Award. Galletti swam the first legs of the 200-meter freestyle and 300-meter butterfly relays, as well the third leg of the 200-meter medley relay. Notre Dame won all three of those events and 11 of the 12 overall relays at the season-opening Dennis Stark Relays in South Bend Oct. 12. Galletti was one of six freshmen to win a relay in her debut. Catherine Galletti — Fr., Women's Swimming The Florida native helped the Irish win three relays of 316 runners at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational Oct. 12 and won the Big East Runner of the Week award for his efforts. It's the second time Rae has won the award in his career at Notre Dame. He came within five seconds of a top-10 finish and within 35 seconds of last year's NCAA national champion, Ari- zona's Lawi Lalang, who took home first place.
