CARRYING THE DEFENSE Every week, sophomore viper Khaleke Hudson (No. 7) looks more and more like his predecessor at the position, former Heisman final- ist Jabrill Peppers. Although Hudson hasn't started returning kicks or moonlighting on offense, he did something against Minnesota Nov. 4 that Peppers never did. He wreaked havoc to the tune of 15 total stops, eight tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble, plus he nearly blocked a punt. The eight tackles for loss were a new single-game record for Michigan and the Big Ten, and tied the NCAA mark set in 2010 by NC State's Nate Irving. Pro Football Focus awarded Hudson a 99.9-percent grade for the performance, just the second time it has handed out such a high mark this year and the first time to a Power Five player.
