Former Irish talent now scouts others in NFL front office

son was surrounded by future pros during all four years of his career at Notre Dame. He came to South Bend in 1990 along with a freshman class teeming with more raw ability than any other Notre Dame group in the past 60 years. Fourteen of his 23 class- mates on the team made an NFL ros- ter, with Irish all-time pass efficiency leader Kevin McDougal not among them. Five of them — Jerome Bettis, Tom Carter, Bryant Young, Aaron Tay- lor and Jeff Burris — were first-round picks.
During his four years at Notre Dame, Dawson caught 80 passes for 1,397 yards and four touch- downs as part of a run-heavy offense that was

Today, he puts that past experience to use as the vice president of player personnel for the Tennessee Titans.
